Sarah Cameron - Frederik

Life is too short to wear mass produced jewellery.

South Yarra jewellery designer Sarah Cameron produces sleek and bold pieces in fine silver using a combination of traditional silversmithing techniques, enamelling and precious metal clay.

She shapes and carves her pieces into forms that bring out the natural beauty of the silver.

Drawing inspiration from the elegant classic design of her Danish heritage and the fun and figurative jewellery of the eighties, Sarah’s jewellery is playful, dynamic and always with the emphasis on that liquid silver finish. She is not one for short lived fashions, nor does she design her jewellery to disappear on you. “I want you to feel the swing of the earrings against your face, the weight of the ring on your hand, always reminding you.”

And the name, Frederik? It harks back to Sarah’s Danish roots and is named after Frederik Dahlsen (1802-1849), the family’s first Master Goldsmith.

Sarah works with fine silver which means that 99.9% of every piece is pure silver. The remaining .01% is trace elements. This purity means your jewellery will be less likely to tarnish and maintain its beautiful lustre for longer. All earrings are fitted with sterling silver posts and backs and hooks. This makes them particularly strong and unlikely to react with your skin. To keep your jewellery looking its very best, store it in a dark, dry place, ideally in an airtight bag. Keep it away from all water and polish it up with a microfiber cloth. Your piece is at its happiest on you so wear it often and enjoy it.

Sarah loves special requests so if you find a piece that you can’t live without but needs a little tweak to make it just perfect for you, please get in touch to discuss your ideas. She can talk about jewellery all day and she is more than happy to make changes to anything in her range.

Finished pieces may differ slightly from the photos, but that is your assurance that they are handmade by Sarah, not a machine and certainly not mass produced.

When your jewellery arrives, it will come beautifully packaged in a sumptuous handmade recycled leather pouch. A lovely surprise to find in your letterbox and postage is free anywhere in Australia.
